Geography

In years 7 and 8 (KS3), all students have 3 hours of timetabled lessons over 2 weeks with a specialist Geography teacher. At the end of KS3 (depending on which Pathway students are on) many will have the option of choosing to study Geography at GCSE level. We follow the AQA GCSE syllabus.

Department staff:

Annual GCSE Geography field trips – at present this is a study of the River Bollin in Cheshire where students investigate river processes by visiting sites along the course of the river, working in teams to collect a variety of primary data which is then used in their controlled assessment.
