Physical Education

Physical Education offers a unique contribution to developing a child’s journey through education, with opportunities to nurture their skills for future life.

Staff strive to deliver a creative yet challenging approach to learning through high quality lessons, ensuring students understand the importance of physical activity and competition, whilst empowering them to be independent in leading a healthy lifestyle.

Students will learn how to be:

  • secure in their knowledge
  • develop personal qualities and values
  • demonstrate confidence and leadership
  • participate with enjoyment
  • make Physical Education an integral part of life.

PE is a core subject in both KS3 and KS4 and covers a broad and balanced curriculum.

There is also the option to take an examination in PE at KS4; GCSE Physical Education or BTEC Level 2 Award in Sport.
