Youth Parliament Training Day at Langtree Park
09 March 2016
Yesterday, a group of 4 students visited Langtree Park for a Youth Parliament Training day. It was a very informative and interesting day that went through the benefits of having a school council and how that school council can link into the St Helens Youth Parliament in order to get young people's voices heard in the area.
The Year 10 students, Natasha Hayes, Ben Helsby, Josh Williams and Sophie Jakens all said the day gave them some brilliant ideas to bring back into school to be discussed.
They left a number of questions to be debated by local councillors, the Chamber of Commerce and other council officials that may have an impact on how young people are catered for in St Helens.
So keep your eyes out for opportunities to have your voice heard and make a real difference to your town!
