How long have you worked at St Cuthbert's?
Can you share a favourite memory about St Cuthbert's?
Too many to select just one and there are still many memories for us to make.
What made you go into teaching/working in a supporting role in school?
I had several inspirational teachers during my education and I remember a brilliant teacher from school who made a real difference to my life by sharing their passion for learning. As a teacher you can use your knowledge and enthusiasm for your subject to help children unlock capabilities and talents that they didn’t even know they had. I made the decision shortly after leaving school that teaching was a way for me to combine sharing my love of science and working with young people.
What is the best bit of advice you can give to your students?
Do your best to live life in all its fullness.
What do you enjoy most about working at St Cuthbert's?
As most teachers will tell you, there’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ day at work. That’s because no two days or two children are the same – I never tire of seeing our students grow and develop into capable young adults prepared for life after St Cuthbert's.
