How long have you worked at St Cuthbert's?
12 years I think!
Can you share a favourite memory about St Cuthbert's?
It is hard to narrow it down. I always loved 'Celebration' days ( when we ran the House system). It was a chance for staff & students to come together and have fun, let their hair down and get to know each other out of the classroom setting.
What made you go into teaching/working in a supporting role in school?
I became a teacher after completing my Fine Art degree. Having thoroughly enjoyed my own schooling, it felt completely natural to be back in the classroom and teaching my favourite subject.
What is the best bit of advice you can give to your students?
Never give up! Keep trying no matter how hard you find something. Every successful person has failed a hundred times before they finally succeed. Keep trying!
What do you enjoy most about working at St Cuthbert's?
The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing students develop their 'gifts & talents' under our guidance. It really makes all of the effort and hard work worthwhile.
