IMPORTANT Letter from Mrs Twist

13 March 2020

Dear Parent/Carer

Coronavirus Update

We have been informed that a parent of one our students has a confirmed case of COVID-19.  The child concerned is not in school and is self-isolating.

The school has fully consulted with Public Health England and the Local Authority.

The additional cleaning measures and restrictions on gatherings/visitors that are already in place will continue in line with the school action plan.

School remains open and we will of course keep you fully informed of any changes to advice and procedures.

All external visitors (music teachers, one-to-one tutors, support workers, etc.) have been asked to postpone their visits.  Events such as the arts festival, trips and whole-school gatherings are cancelled until further notice.

The advice is not to send your child to school if they have a high temperature or a NEW and CONTINUOUS cough.

If any student develops these symptoms in school we will contact you and ask that you collect them immediately.

School are unable to advise you as to whether you should keep your child at home. Please follow the latest NHS advice.

We will continue to update you if anything changes.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully

C A Twist

Headteacher
