We were #openatcuthies last night for Open Evening. What a great night! The sun shone on us, the band played and prospective students and their parents were shown by staff and students exactly what makes us so special.
The turn out was excellent and parents packed out the Drama Theatre to hear Mrs Twist's address.
From screaming Jelly Babies and 'flaming hands' in Science to 'foods from different cultures' in RE, each department showcased their gifts and talents, helped in no small part by the best ambassadors, our students who really shone.
Parents were asked to give feedback about the evening. Here is what a few had to say:
"My daughter was made to feel very at ease during the visit and it's made her more confident in coming to High School"
"Everything perfect! Great tour, fun activities and entertainment"
"Very good! The students were very friendly and helpful"
"Brilliant and such friendly staff....I will definitely be sending my child to St Cuthbert's"
"Good effort! Lovely staff!"
" All students seemed happy to take part and take pride in the school"
"Students excellent! Very well-mannered and helpful"
" Teachers helpful, students really great!"
