How long have you worked at St Cuthbert's?

One Year

Can you share a favourite memory about St Cuthbert's?

Witnessing a year 11 student, attempting to cut an onion with a soup blender and had tears streaming down his face from the fumes. His recipe called for a ‘minced onion’ and he genuinely couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working.

What made you go into teaching/working in a supporting role in school?

I lived in Thailand for 4 months as a volunteer ESL teacher in a very disadvantaged primary school. Ever since then I always knew I wanted to teach.

What is the best bit of advice you can give to your students?

Read more and travel as much as you can. EAT MORE FRUIT/VEG, STOP DRINKING ENERGY DRINKS!!!

What do you enjoy most about working at St Cuthbert's?

Seeing how proud the students are when they complete a successful practical lesson.
