The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) provides information which is intended for all candidates undertaking any formal qualifications in the UK. The rules outlined in these documents are set by the JCQ on behalf of the 7 largest providers of qualifications in the UK. St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School strictly adheres to the rules; we highly advise students familiarise themselves with them so as not to jeopardise their grades. The guidance provided by the JCQ gives students a clear indication of what is proper conduct with regards to written exams, coursework and other forms of assessment as well as how certain behaviour on social media may have a negative outcome.

Summer 2025 GCSE/BTEC certificates will be ready for students to collect from school from Monday, 17th November 2025. Please arrange to collect between 8am-3pm, Monday to Friday.
If a student cannot attend school to collect their certificates in person, a parent/carer/nominated person may do so on their behalf. However, the student must have provided written authorisation for us to do this. This can be submitted in advance to the Exams Officer or be brought in by the parent/carer on the day. Requests can also be emailed to us at hello@stcuthberts.com
Uncollected certificates will be stored for 1 year, after which they will be destroyed – please ensure collection to avoid being faced with the problem of proving qualifications at some point in the future.
PLEASE ENSURE ALL CERTIFICATES ARE STORED SAFELY; they are often required for applications to colleges/employment opportunities for many years in the future!
