Welcome to our Year 9 Options page.
Year 9 parents/carers and students are invited to our KS4 Options Evening on Thursday, 12th February from 4:00-5:00pm in the Drama Theatre. Option subject teachers will be available to discuss choices and the local colleges and Career Connect will also be available to give advice. All students must wear full uniform and be accompanied by a parent/carer or a responsible adult. On arrival, students and parents/carers will be asked to sign in at reception.
Please note: KS4 option choices should be made carefully and with a long-term view. Subjects at Key Stage 4 are designed to be academically and practically challenging, and students are expected to commit fully to their chosen courses. Options should not be viewed as a ‘taster’. Once the options process has closed, courses cannot be changed simply because a subject is found to be demanding or more difficult than expected. For this reason, no option changes will be permitted in September.
After Options Evening, you will receive a link to a Google form which can be edited until it is locked on Monday, 2nd March 2026.
