Special Educational Needs

“Pupils with SEND access the full curriculum. Leaders ensure that pupils with SEND are identified quickly and effectively and that they receive effective help in lessons from well-trained staff. Teachers and staff understand how to meet these pupils’ needs. They adapt activities accordingly so that pupils with SEND follow the same curriculum as other pupils.”  Ofsted, July 2022

Extra Support

At St Cuthbert’s Catholic High School, we are proud of our inclusive ethos and our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all our students. Our Special Educational Needs (SEN) Team is here to ensure that every young person with additional needs receives the right support to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.

To ensure we work effectively and communicate clearly, this document outlines the different roles within our SEN Team, so that parents and staff know who to contact for what — helping us respond quickly and appropriately.
