“Careers education is strong and effective. Pupils complete meaningful work experience.” Ofsted, July 2022
The CEIAG programme of delivery, the content and evaluation is co-ordinated and managed by the designated Careers Leader. A number of events, integrated into the school careers programme, will offer providers an opportunity to come into school to speak to students and/or their parents/carers. Anyone wishing to request access should contact the Careers Leader to inform them of their needs.
Contact: Mrs V Jones, Pupil Premium and Careers Lead, by email at hello@stcuthberts.com or by telephoning the school on 01744 678123.
At St Cuthbert’s we regularly evaluate the effectiveness of our careers programme. We obtain feedback from all key stakeholders which helps develop our offer to meet the demands of the ever-changing careers landscape. We work closely with the Liverpool City Region’s Careers Hub and complete termly Compass+ Evaluations to monitor progress towards achieving the Gatsby Benchmarks. We also identify areas for development from the Internal Leadership Review which rates the effectiveness of a number of key themes on the Careers Impact Maturity Model. We use progress data to identify students who may benefit from support and intervention to help them progress onto suitable Education, Employment & Training. Destinations data is also used to track students which feeds into our planning. The governing board, in conjunction with the headteacher and careers leader, reviews the careers policy on an annual basis, taking into account the success of supporting students in accessing post-16 education and training. The headteacher makes any necessary changes to this policy and communicates these to all members of staff.
