Personal Development is an integral part of school life at St Cuthbert’s. We aim to aspire for the best for our students whilst ensuring we provide ample opportunities for them to develop as young people. It includes PSHE, Health and Relationships and Sex education, Citizenship, British Values, Healthy Lifestyles, Careers Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), a wide range of extra-curricular activities and Culture Capital.
PSHE and Citizenship is integrated into all the subjects; a Healthy Living programme is also integrated but we do have stand-alone lessons in Years 8 and 9 We incorporate visits to colleges, universities and work places alongside encounters with employers and a wide range of other aspirational activities. We also access Oxbridge mornings and interviews with Career Connect.
These are just some of the many opportunities we provide for our students. A wider range can be found here. Whilst there are many examples on the list, we do add in more as they arise throughout the year.
