From Monday 5th February 2024, for up to four weeks or when the work is completed New Street, St Helens will be closed at the railway bridge. The road will be inaccessible to large vehicles from the junction of Eaves Lane to the junction of Severn Close in order to facilitate the upgrade of the traffic signals either side of the Railway Bridge and including carriageway resurfacing on New Street.
The closure is expected to be in place for up to four weeks or when the work is completed.
For St Cuthberts School
The second 720 at 1505 Schooldays will terminate at Marshalls Cross, Marshalls Cross Road, Eaves Lane not at New Street as normally advertised.

- From Clock Face, Gorsey Lane as normal route to Sutton, Mill Lane, at New Street (do not turn right) but continue via Mill Lane, to right Marshalls Cross Road until the Robins Lane Mini Roundabout and take the 2nd exit / straight on via Robins Lane and soon resume normal route to Parr, St. Cuthberts. Omits New Street
- From Parr, St. Cuthberts as normal route to Sutton, Robins Lane, at New Street (do not turn left) but continue via Robins Lane to the Marshalls Cross Road Mini Roundabout and take the 1st exit / straight on via Marshalls Cross Road, to left Mill Lane and soon resume normal route to Clock Face, Gorsey Lane. Omits New Street.
