As we come to the end of the school term we would like to take this opportunity to thank our community for their continued support during this often and continuous challenging time.
It seems that every day there is a new concern and changes to restrictions that will no doubt have implications for our young people and our community. It can sometimes be frustrating to have to deal with the last 2 years and the uncertain time ahead whilst continuing to get back to some normality in school and educate our children.
This term we have tried to ensure that the children not only get on with their learning but that they get opportunities for extra-curricular and celebrations.
Our awards celebrations were different this year from previous events but every bit as special and celebrated our young people not just for their academic achievements but for all their success in 'living life in all its fullness'. It was also brilliant to see so many of last year's Y11 students return to school to share their successes and future plans.
Our current Y11 have completed their mock examinations and their behaviour and attitude towards them has been exemplary. Once again, there is some uncertainty for the GCSEs in 2022 but we will continue to keep our community updated and informed.
As we reflect on this year, we would like to say how exceptionally proud we are of the St Cuthbert's community - the staff, governors, parents and carers and most importantly, our young people.
This term we have overcome many challenges together and we hope you and your loved ones have a very peaceful, restful and safe Christmas and a very Happy New Year. ✨
