Our incredible Year 7 & 8 Girls Football team faced a tough Rainford High squad in the final of the St Helens Town Cup last week. But even the snow couldn't hamper the performance of these ladies, displaying talent and teamwork beyond their years. They were a pleasure to watch.
A very well deserved trophy lift!
The team look forward to their next challenge, as they continue their campaign in the National Cup Championship next week.
Congratulations to Abbie, who won the Player of the Match Award, and was even presented with the match ball to take home! However, every single player performed to an outstanding standard, individually and as at team, They were an absolute credit to themselves, our school and each other. It was a fantastic way for us to celebrate International Women's Day, showing that these girls, definitely can!
Half time team talk.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all parents and carers who came along to support our Girls Football Team, in snow, hail and rain! Your continued support means a lot to our school community. Bring on the Nationals!
