As well as playing for the school rugby and football teams, Year 7 student Harrison R also plays for Crosfields ARLFC Cobras U12's. Their team is based in Warrington. Earlier this month they were invited as a team to play against the Catalan Juniors U12s in Perpignan, France. They played their first match on Friday 1st March and on Saturday they walked out as mascots with Warrington Wolves in their match against Catalans Dragons. They won their match 50-6.
Multi-talented Harrison was due to start the new season with Crosfields on 10th March but chose instead to represent St Cuthbert's Football Team on their annual trip to Jordanhill Secondary School in Glasgow.
Crosfields Cobras U12s go on another tournament in May in Skegness run by the Leeds Rhinos. The event is called the Rhino's challenge and will play against teams from all over the country.
Well done Harrison for rising to new challenges to become more adaptable and confident; this is critical to so many areas of development. Experiences gained from this trip stretches far beyond the academic to include raising self-confidence, self-esteem and motivation.
