Mindfulness Club for Students

You have probably heard of 'mindfulness' and meditation. These words are often used when people speak about mental health and well being, but do you understand why?

Mindfulness means being fully present for your life. Often we are in two places at once. Physically we can be sat at a desk, but our mind has wandered off somewhere else......daydreaming, thinking about what we will have for tea, for example. Being mindful is all about focusing our minds on the present moment.

Mindfulness meditation is proven to change your brain in a number of ways. It literally rewires the neural pathways in your brain. People who meditate for as little as 10 minutes a day have reported feeling happier, less stressed, less anxious and more able to cope with life in general.

If you are interested in finding out more about this LIFE CHANGING skill, please come along to our Mindfulness Drop-In. See Ms Alhadad for a pass.
