Teaching Personnel, a national supply agency recently held their annual national competition to recognise the valuable contribution Teaching Assistants make to the education and support of school children across the UK. The National Teaching Assistants’ Day was held on 16th September 2019.

Congratulations to Cath Carr who was nominated for the Secondary Teaching Assistant of the Year Award by St Cuthbert’s for the fantastic work she carries out supporting our students, along with all our other Learning Assistants. This morning we were joined by Mr Malley from Teaching Personnel who presented Mrs Carr with her certificate as recognition of her work.
Mrs Twist, Headteacher said “We are very proud of Mrs Carr’s achievement in supporting our students here at St Cuthbert’s and value the contribution she makes to the lives of our young people”.
The national competition attracted nominations from across the county across all 3 categories of Primary, Secondary and SEN with the standard and volume of nominations higher than ever.
