On Monday 4th November, St Helens Library Service launched a new competition to encourage teenagers to read for pleasure.
'FOMOr' (Fear of Missing Out on Reading) is aimed at young people aimed aged between 11 and 18 years old.
Teenagers who join the library and borrow just ONE book, or download an eBook or eComic by Friday 13th December will automatically be entered into a free draw prize to win a fantastic bundle of prizes including cinema tickets, bowling tickets and vouchers for St Helens' famous dessert restaurant Kaspas.
Teens who are already members of St Helens Libraries can also enter the competition by borrowing or downloading a book within the time period.
Joining St Helens Library Service is now easier than ever! All students need to do is complete a membership form (which they can pick up from the school library), ask a parent or carer to sign as guarantor and show one proof of identification when they drop it off at their local library.
They will then receive their library card straight away so they can start to borrow and download books and other resources immediately.
The competition runs until Friday 13th December and the lucky prize winner will be announced on the week of Monday 15th December.
Good luck St Cuthbert's!
